About SlotMachines
SlotMachines is an independent UK slot site and slot game comparison published by Michael Madden. Our mission is to make UK slot site rankings transparent, mathematically honest, and useful for actual players.
What We Do
We review every UKGC-licensed slot site available to UK players. Each operator is independently tested: we register an account, deposit, play slots through to the bonus completion, request a withdrawal, and document every step. Then we score on six weighted criteria covering bonus value, library depth, wagering terms, payments, user experience and trust.
We do not list operators without a current UK Gambling Commission licence. We do not link to offshore sites. We do not accept money in exchange for higher rankings. If we ever do — somehow — get something wrong, we publish the correction.
Affiliate Disclosure (How We Make Money)
SlotMachines earns affiliate commission when readers register at operators through our links. This is the standard model for slot site comparison websites — SlotMachines has no other revenue source. Commission rates differ between operators, but commission rates have absolutely no influence on our scores, rankings or recommendations.
Our editorial independence is maintained by structural separation: scoring happens against fixed criteria (see our methodology) before commercial relationships are considered. If an operator we rank highly stops paying commission, they stay ranked highly. If a non-paying operator deserves a top ranking, they get one. We have done both.
Our Independence Pledges
- UKGC-only. We never link to operators without a current UK Gambling Commission licence. Every operator we list can be verified on the UKGC public register.
- No pay-to-rank. Commission rates have no influence on rankings. If we are offered higher commission for higher placement, the answer is no — and we publish the request.
- Personal testing. Every review is based on personal hands-on testing of the operator: registration, deposit, play, bonus completion, withdrawal.
- Transparent scoring. Our methodology is published openly. You can see exactly how each operator scored.
- Open corrections. If we get something wrong, we correct it and say so. Tell us if you spot anything.
