The symbols
Online
Classic-style online slots keep the look and usually add a feature or two. Starburst, with its BARs and sevens, is a modern slot dressed in classic symbols.

How one plays
You set a coin value, choose one to three coins and pull. Many classic machines pay a bonus on the top prize only at maximum coins, which is worth knowing before you play fewer. Wins are frequent and small, with one or two large prizes at the top of the table.
Simple sums
A mechanical machine with three reels of 20 symbols has 8,000 combinations. If one of them is the jackpot, the chance is 1 in 8,000 on every pull. That transparency is what virtual reels took away.
Who they suit
Players who want a machine they can understand at a glance, and who do not miss free spins.
