The Bigger Bass Bonanza slot is Reel Kingdom's 2021 follow-up to Big Bass Bonanza, distributed by Pragmatic Play, with an extra row (5×4), 12 fixed paylines and a top RTP of 96.71%. It is high volatility with a 4,000× max win, and nearly all of its big results come from free spins where fisherman wilds collect fish cash values.
5 reels × 4 rows and 12 paylines: one more row and two more lines than the original.
3, 4 or 5 scatters award 10, 15 or 20 free spins.
Every fourth wild collected adds 10 spins and lifts the multiplier to 2×, then 3×, then 10×.
Top RTP is 96.71%, but 95.67% and 94.62% versions exist, so check the help screen.
Max win is 4,000× stake: £8,000 at the £2 limit for 18–24s, £20,000 at £5.

What makes the Bigger Bass Bonanza slot machine ‘bigger’
Pragmatic Play describes the game as a ‘4×5 edition of the classic fishing slot’. In practice that means the original Big Bass Bonanza grid of five reels and three rows gains a fourth row, giving 20 visible positions instead of 15. The number of paylines rises from 10 to 12, and the published max win goes from 2,100× to 4,000×.
The core idea is unchanged. Fish symbols can carry cash values, and during free spins the fisherman wild collects every fish value on screen. Reel Kingdom built the whole Big Bass series on this collect mechanic, and Bigger Bass Bonanza is one of its earliest sequels. Our side-by-side Big Bass Bonanza vs Bigger Bass Bonanza page goes through each difference.

How the base game works
Each paid spin is settled on 12 fixed paylines. Matching symbols from the leftmost reel pay according to the paytable, with card royals as the low-value symbols and fishing gear as the higher ones. Fish symbols showing cash values can land in the base game, but on their own they do nothing; their job is to be collected later.
The base game's other purpose is to land scatter symbols. Three or more anywhere on the grid start the free spins round. Because most of the game's value is held back for that round, the base game usually returns noticeably less than the headline RTP, which is normal for a high-volatility fishing slot.
Line bet arithmetic
With 12 lines, a 12p stake is 1p per line and a £1.20 stake is 10p per line. Many casinos also offer round-number stakes such as 10p, 20p or £1, in which case the line bet is a fraction of a penny; the paytable converts everything to pounds for you.
Land 3, 4 or 5 scatters to win 10, 15 or 20 free spins.
During the spins, fish symbols with cash values can land anywhere on the 5×4 grid.
When a fisherman wild lands, it collects the value of every fish visible on screen.
Every wild is counted. The fourth wild retriggers the round with 10 more spins and a 2× multiplier on collected values.
The eighth wild adds 10 more spins and raises the multiplier to 3×.
The twelfth wild adds 10 more spins and the final 10× multiplier.
This is a cash collect feature combined with a free spins retrigger and a progressive multiplier. The multiplier only applies to values collected after each level is reached, so a run that reaches 10× late in the round can still end modestly.
A worked collect example (illustrative values)
Suppose you stake 50p and, early in the round, a fisherman lands with three fish worth £1, £2.50 and £5 on screen. He collects £8.50. Later, after twelve wilds, the 10× multiplier is active and a fisherman lands with fish worth £1 and £2: that collect pays (£1 + £2) × 10 = £30. These fish values are made up to show the arithmetic; real values come from the game's maths and vary from spin to spin.
Bigger Bass Bonanza RTP and versions
The Bigger Bass Bonanza RTP is 96.71% in its top version, matching the figure Pragmatic Play publishes. Two lower versions, 95.67% and 94.62%, also exist, and casinos choose which to run. The table shows what that choice means in pounds.

Bigger Bass Bonanza max win at UK stakes
The Bigger Bass Bonanza max win is 4,000 times the stake. Reaching it needs the free spins round to run long, hit the higher multipliers and collect big fish values at the right moments, so it is a theoretical ceiling rather than something most players will see.
High volatility plus a feature-led design means the most common experience is a steady decline in balance punctuated by occasional free spins rounds of very different value. Some rounds pay less than the stake that triggered them; a few pay a lot.
A sensible plan is to choose a stake that gives at least 200 base-game spins from your budget and to decide in advance what you will do after a feature, win or lose. At the fastest pace allowed in the UK (2.5 seconds per spin) 200 spins take a little over eight minutes, so time-based limits are useful too. Our slot session limits guide shows how to set them.

The UK version: no autoplay and no bonus buy
At UK-licensed casinos, Bigger Bass Bonanza follows the slot game design rules introduced on 31 October 2021: no autoplay, no turbo or slam-stop, a minimum 2.5-second game cycle, a visible net position, and no celebration of returns at or below the stake. There is also no option to buy the free spins round, because slots supplied to Great Britain do not include a feature buy.
Bigger Bass Bonanza demo
A Bigger Bass Bonanza demo is a quick way to see the fisherman collect and the multiplier ladder before staking money. In the UK, free demo play is offered only after age verification. Remember that the free spins round is rare, so a short demo may not show it at all; that tells you nothing about the real game. See our demo slots vs real-money slots comparison.
Other Big Bass slots and similar fishing games
The series has grown into dozens of titles. Close relatives include Big Bass Splash, which raises the ceiling to 5,000×, Big Bass Bonanza Megaways, and Big Bass Bonanza 1000, whose max win reaches 20,000×. Outside the series, Fishin' Frenzy by Blueprint uses a similar fisherman idea at medium volatility.
‘Higher stakes trigger free spins more often.’ The trigger chance is identical at every stake.

Frequently asked questions
What is the RTP of Bigger Bass Bonanza?
The top RTP of Bigger Bass Bonanza is 96.71%, with lower versions at 95.67% and 94.62%. On £100 staked, the long-run average costs are £3.29, £4.33 and £5.38 respectively, so the version matters. Casinos choose which one to run, and the figure is shown in the game's rules screen. RTP is measured over millions of spins; a single session on a high-volatility game can end far from it in either direction. Our RTP explainer shows how the figure is worked out.
How do Bigger Bass Bonanza free spins work?
Land three, four or five scatters to win 10, 15 or 20 free spins. During the round, fish symbols carry cash values and each fisherman wild collects every fish value on screen. The wilds are counted: the fourth adds 10 spins and a 2× multiplier, the eighth adds 10 more and 3×, and the twelfth adds 10 more and the final 10× multiplier. The multiplier applies to collections made after each level is reached. Our cash collect feature page explains the mechanic in general.
What is the Bigger Bass Bonanza max win?
The max win on Bigger Bass Bonanza is 4,000 times your stake. That is £400 at 10p, £4,000 at £1, £8,000 at the £2 maximum for players aged 18 to 24, and £20,000 at the £5 maximum for players aged 25 and over. Reaching it needs a long free spins round with high multipliers and large fish values, so it is very rare. Treat it as the top of the possible range, not a likely outcome. Our max win caps page explains why games publish these ceilings.
Is Bigger Bass Bonanza better than Big Bass Bonanza?
Neither is better in money terms, since both have a 96.71% top RTP and high volatility. Bigger Bass Bonanza adds a fourth row, two more paylines (12 rather than 10) and a higher max win of 4,000× against the original's 2,100×. Its free spins also run to a 10× multiplier. If you want a higher ceiling, the sequel offers it; if you prefer the original's simpler layout, that is a matter of taste. Our Big Bass Bonanza vs Bigger Bass Bonanza page compares them in full.
Can I use PlayOJO's 80 free spins on Bigger Bass Bonanza?
No, PlayOJO's welcome offer is for 80 free spins on the original Big Bass Bonanza, not Bigger Bass Bonanza. New UK customers (excluding Northern Ireland) aged 18+ get the spins at 10p each after a first deposit of at least £10, through the designated offer link, and winnings are paid in cash with no wagering. It cannot be combined with other offers, and other terms apply. You could then choose to play Bigger Bass Bonanza with your own balance if the casino carries it. See our 80 free spins page for the full terms.
Is Bigger Bass Bonanza high volatility?
Yes, Bigger Bass Bonanza is rated high volatility. Most of its value is concentrated in the free spins round, so the base game is often quiet and the balance tends to fall between features. Free spins rounds themselves vary widely, from returns smaller than the stake to rare large collects with the 10× multiplier. Plan for that by picking a stake that gives you 200 or more spins from your budget. The high-volatility slot machines page explains what this means for your money.
Who makes Bigger Bass Bonanza?
Reel Kingdom makes Bigger Bass Bonanza and Pragmatic Play distributes it, which is why it often appears under Pragmatic's name in casino lobbies. Reel Kingdom is best known for the Big Bass series, which began with Big Bass Bonanza on 14 December 2020, and its signature mechanic is the fisherman wild collecting fish cash values. Several of its titles share the 96.71% top RTP. Our Reel Kingdom page lists its other games and how the series developed.
Can I play the Bigger Bass Bonanza demo?
Yes, many UK-licensed casinos offer a Bigger Bass Bonanza demo, but only after you have verified your age, a rule in place since May 2019. Demo credits have no cash value. Because the free spins round is infrequent, a short demo may never trigger it, and even if it does, one round tells you little about the real game's long-run behaviour. A demo is best used to understand the fisherman, the wild counter and the multiplier ladder. Our demo slots guide has more.
Can you buy free spins on Bigger Bass Bonanza in the UK?
No, you cannot buy the free spins round on Bigger Bass Bonanza at a UK-licensed casino. Games supplied to Great Britain do not include a feature buy, so the round can only be triggered by landing three or more scatters on a normal paid spin. The UK version also has no autoplay or turbo, and each spin lasts at least 2.5 seconds. Some international reviews mention a buy option, which does not apply here. Read more on bonus buy in the UK.
How many paylines does Bigger Bass Bonanza have?
There are 12 fixed paylines on Bigger Bass Bonanza across its five reels and four rows. All 12 are active on every spin, so you cannot reduce them to lower your stake. Wins pay for matching symbols from the leftmost reel along a line. The original Big Bass Bonanza has 10 lines on a 5×3 grid, so the sequel's extra row is used for two additional lines. Fish values collected during free spins are separate from line wins. Our win line glossary entry explains how lines are counted.
