Slot offers and free spins explained
How every kind of slot offer works in the UK, from 10p free spins to a 10x-wagering match bonus, with the closest real offers from licensed casinos.
Slot offers explained: what a casino promotion really gives you
Slot offers are casino promotions tied to online slots: spins at a fixed value on chosen games, or bonus money added to a deposit that has to be played through before it can be withdrawn. Every one comes with conditions, and the conditions decide what it is worth far more than the headline number does. This hub gathers our explainers on each kind of offer, from free spins on slots to deposit match bonuses, alongside the five licensed casinos whose offers we show.
Two points come first. Offers are for adults: every partner promotion listed here is 18+, for new customers, and terms apply. And a promotion does not change the maths of the games. A slot with a 96% return to player still keeps about £4 of every £100 staked over the long run, whether that £100 came from your balance or from a bonus. If you want the background on that figure, our page on slot RTP explains it with worked examples.
Offer details on this site were last checked on 5 October 2026. Casinos change promotions without notice, so read the full terms on the casino’s own site before you deposit.
How to use the slot offers pages below
The cards below are grouped by the question each page answers. Some pages explain a type of offer, some take one condition apart, and some compare formats. If you are new to promotions, start with the type of offer you have seen advertised, then read the page on the condition that usually trips people up: how long free spins last, what happens to free spin winnings or the maximum bet while a bonus is active.

Our partner slot offers at a glance
We show offers from five UK-licensed casinos and no others. The table summarises each one as it stood on 5 October 2026. All are 18+ and for new customers only, and full terms apply. None of the five offers a no-deposit bonus and none needs a promo code. Our casino pages list each operator’s licence holder and Gambling Commission account number.
| Casino | Offer | Spin or bonus value | Main conditions |
|---|---|---|---|
| Coral | Bet £10 on slots, get 100 free spins | 10p each, so £10 of spins | Runs 1 October 2026 to 1 February 2027; selected games; accept within 48 hours; valid 7 days; no wagering on winnings; some payment types excluded |

| PlayOJO | 80 free spins on a first deposit of £10 or more | 10p each on Big Bass Bonanza, so £8 of spins | No wagering, winnings paid in cash; excludes Northern Ireland; designated offer link only |

Coral and Ladbrokes are both run by LC International Limited, part of Entain, so one person may not be able to open new accounts at both; check the terms. PlayOJO’s spins are played on Big Bass Bonanza; for the other casinos, search the lobby, because the games on offer change.
What changed for UK slot offers in 2025 and 2026
The biggest change took effect on 19 January 2026. Since then, a UK-licensed casino may not ask you to play through bonus funds more than ten times, and a single promotion may no longer mix gambling products, such as a casino bonus that also needs a sports bet. The Gambling Commission’s announcement (opens in a new tab) used the example of a £10 bonus at 50x, which used to mean £500 of play; under the cap the most is £100. Our page on the 10x wagering cap explains the detail, and the code itself sits in licence condition 5.1.1 (opens in a new tab).
| Date | Change | Effect on offers |
|---|---|---|
| 14 April 2020 | Credit card gambling banned | Deposits that qualify must come from debit cards or other permitted methods |
| 9 April 2025 | £5 online slot stake limit for players aged 25 and over | Bonus play cannot exceed £5 a spin |
| 1 May 2025 | Marketing opt-in by product and channel | You choose whether casinos may send you offers, and how |
| 21 May 2025 | £2 online slot stake limit for players aged 18 to 24 | Younger adults play any bonus at £2 a spin or less |
| 31 October 2025 | Financial limit prompt before the first deposit | New accounts are asked to set a deposit limit before claiming anything |
| 19 January 2026 | 10x wagering cap and mixed-product ban | Bonus wagering is shorter and promotions stay within one product |
The stake limits are covered on our page about online slot stake limits, and the wider picture is in our summary of UK slot rule changes for 2025 and 2026.
How to choose between slot offers without guesswork
Compare offers by what you have to stake and what you can keep, not by the size of the number. A spin offer at 10p a spin is easy to value: 100 spins are £10 of play. If the chosen game returns 96%, those spins return about £9.60 on average, with wide swings either way, and with no wagering any winnings are yours to withdraw. A deposit bonus needs one more step. A £100 bonus at 10x means £1,000 of slot play; at a 96% RTP the average cost of that play is about £40, so the expected value of the bonus is roughly £60, and that is before time limits or a maximum bet cut it short.
- Check you qualify: age, country, new-customer status and the payment method you plan to use.
- Work out the value: number of spins × spin value, or bonus amount × wagering multiple.
- Read the clock: how long you have to accept, use and clear the offer.
- Look for caps: maximum bet with a bonus, maximum bonus winnings, and excluded games.
- Set a deposit limit first, and decide the most you are prepared to lose.
Time limits matter more than most people expect. Casumo gives seven days to clear its bonus and 10bet gives three, so a £25 bonus at 10x means £250 of slot play inside 72 hours. At 50p a spin that is 500 spins, which is a long session for anyone. If the deadline would push you to play faster or longer than you normally would, the offer is not a good fit, however generous it looks. Our best slot offers page applies these steps to each partner offer in turn.
Keeping slot offers in proportion
A promotion is a discount on entertainment that still costs money, and losses are the likely result over time. Never deposit more to reach an offer than you would have spent anyway, and walk away if a bonus starts to feel like a target. Every UK-licensed casino must offer deposit limits, time-outs and reality checks, and GAMSTOP (opens in a new tab) blocks all of them at once. If you need to talk, the National Gambling Helpline (0808 8020 133) is free and never closes. Our safer gambling page lists every option.
Frequently asked questions
What are slot offers?
Slot offers are promotions that give you spins or bonus money to use on online slots, always with conditions attached. The two main kinds are free spins, which have a fixed value per spin on chosen games, and deposit bonuses, which add money to your balance that must be wagered before it can be withdrawn. All the partner offers on this site are 18+, for new customers only, and subject to full terms. Our guide to free spins on slots is the best starting point if you have never claimed one.
Are free spins really free?
No, not in the everyday sense, because each partner offer needs a qualifying deposit or stake first. Coral’s 100 spins follow a £10 bet on slots, Ladbrokes’ daily spins follow £10 of slot play, and PlayOJO’s 80 spins follow a first deposit of at least £10. The spins themselves cost nothing extra once you qualify, and all three of those offers pay winnings without wagering. That makes them good value for money you planned to spend anyway, but not a reason to spend more.
What is the maximum wagering on a slot bonus in the UK?
Ten times the bonus amount is the most a UK-licensed casino can now ask for. The cap took effect on 19 January 2026, so a £50 bonus can require no more than £500 of play before the money becomes withdrawable. Older offers advertised 35x or 50x, which are no longer allowed for customers in Great Britain. Casinos can still set shorter time limits and maximum bets, so the cap does not make every bonus easy to clear. The cap applies per bonus, so a second promotion brings its own ten-times limit rather than adding to the first.
Do any of your partners offer no deposit free spins?
No. None of the five casinos we work with currently offers a no-deposit bonus, and none needs a promo code for its welcome offer. Every partner promotion requires either a qualifying deposit or a qualifying stake before you receive anything. No-deposit offers do exist elsewhere, but they tend to carry low winnings caps and tight time limits, and you should always check the operator holds a Gambling Commission licence. Our page on free spins with no deposit explains how they usually work and what to look for.
Can I claim both the Coral and Ladbrokes offers?
Possibly not, so check the terms before trying. Coral and Ladbrokes are both run by LC International Limited, which is part of Entain, under the same Gambling Commission account. Promotions from the same operator often limit new-customer offers to one per person or household across its brands. If you already hold an account with one, you may not count as a new customer at the other. Both casinos’ own terms set out who counts as a new customer and what happens if you already hold a linked account.
Which payment methods do not qualify for slot offers?
It depends on the casino, and exclusions are common. Coral excludes Neteller, PayPal, Paysafe, Skrill, prepaid cards and certain debit cards. Ladbrokes excludes prepaid cards, PayPal, Paysafe, Neteller, Skrill and Moneybookers deposits. 10bet excludes Skrill and Neteller from its welcome bonus. Credit cards cannot be used to gamble in Great Britain at all, a rule in force since 14 April 2020. Before you deposit, compare your chosen method with the offer terms, because using an excluded method usually means no bonus. Our page on how to claim free spins covers the order of steps.
How much are 100 free spins worth?
At 10p a spin, 100 free spins are £10 of play, which is the value of Coral’s current offer. What you get back depends on the game. If the selected slot returns 96%, the long-run average return on £10 of spins is about £9.60, but a single batch of 100 spins can return far less or far more. With no wagering attached, whatever you win is withdrawable cash. Our 100 free spins page shows the arithmetic for other spin values and explains why the average is only a guide.
What is the maximum bet while a slot bonus is active?
Each casino sets its own figure in the terms, and breaking it can cost you the bonus and its winnings. Casumo caps bets at £5 while a bonus is active. The legal stake limits also apply: £5 a spin on online slots for players aged 25 and over, and £2 a spin for players aged 18 to 24. So a 22-year-old with a Casumo bonus would still be held to £2 a spin by the game itself. Our page on the slot bonus maximum bet explains how casinos enforce it.
Are winnings from slot offers taxed in the UK?
No. Gambling winnings are not taxed for UK players, whether they come from your own stakes, free spins or a cleared bonus. HMRC treats gambling as something other than trading, so a player is not running a business. The duty is paid by the operator instead: remote gaming duty rose from 21% to 40% of online casino profits on 1 April 2026. That change does not affect what you receive, though it may influence how generous promotions are. Our page on tax on slot winnings has the detail.
