The Even Bigger Catch slot, full name Fishin' Frenzy Even Bigger Catch, is a February 2023 Blueprint Gaming sequel that adds a golden fisherman pick feature with collect multipliers up to 10x to the classic fishing free spins. It has 10 paylines, a 95% RTP (with a 93% version in circulation) and a 10,000x max win. Here is how it works and what it costs.
Three or more bonus symbols start free spins, where the fisherman wild collects the value of every fish in view.
Four fishermen upgrade the smallest fish to the next size and add five spins.
A golden fisherman landing with fish starts the Even Bigger Catch pick, revealing a collect multiplier of up to 10x.
RTP is 95%, but a 93% version also exists: check the help screen, as the lower version raises the long-run cost per £100 from £5 to £7.
Max win is 10,000x: £1,000 at 10p, £20,000 at the £2 limit for 18–24s and £50,000 at £5.

Where the Even Bigger Catch slot fits in the Fishin' Frenzy series
Blueprint Gaming, based in Newark and owned by the Merkur Group, built one of Britain's most familiar slot brands with Fishin' Frenzy. The original's formula is simple: a 10-line game where, in free spins, a fisherman collects the money values printed on fish. Sequels have each added one twist. Fishin' Frenzy The Big Catch introduced upgrades when you collect enough fishermen, and Even Bigger Catch, listed by the developer in February 2023, builds on that with a golden fisherman and a multiplier pick.
The name follows a Blueprint habit of 'Even Bigger' sequels; King Kong Cash Even Bigger Bananas is another. In each case the base game is kept close to the original, and the changes sit in the bonus.
How the Even Bigger Catch slot machine works
The base game is a line game with 10 fixed paylines. Matching symbols from the leftmost reel along a line pay from the paytable, multiplied by your line stake. Your total stake covers all ten lines, so a 20p spin is 2p per line.
Choose your total stake.
Spin. The random number generator fixes the outcome before the reels move.
Line wins are paid for matching symbols from the left.
Three or more bonus symbols anywhere in view start the free spins.
The result is credited, and under UK rules at least 2.5 seconds pass before the next spin can start.

Even Bigger Catch free spins: fish, fishermen and upgrades
The free spins round is where the game earns its keep. Fish land with money values, and the fisherman wild, when he appears, pays the value of every fish visible on that spin. It is a cash collect mechanic in its simplest form: fish without a fisherman pay nothing extra, and a fisherman without fish collects nothing.
Collecting four fishermen triggers an upgrade. According to the launch coverage, the smallest fish moves up to the next size and you get five extra spins. Because each upgrade removes the lowest value from play, later fish are worth more on average, which is how a long round can build momentum.
Worked example at 20p
Imagine three fish showing 2x, 5x and 10x the stake land with one fisherman. He collects 2 + 5 + 10 = 17x, or £3.40 on a 20p spin. Later, after an upgrade has removed the 2x fish, a spin with two 5x fish, a 10x fish and a fisherman collects 20x, or £4. The values are illustrative; the actual fish values are listed in the help screen.
The golden fisherman and the Even Bigger Catch pick
This is the feature that gives the game its name. When a golden fisherman lands alongside any fish, the Even Bigger Catch pick feature starts. You choose a fish, which reveals a collect multiplier of up to 10x, applied to the collection.

The choice of fish is presentation: the outcome is set by the game's maths, and picking a different fish wouldn't change your long-run return. The multiplier steps between 2x and 10x shown in the table are illustrative; the help screen lists the actual values available.
A golden fisherman that lands with low-value fish produces a modest result even with a good multiplier. Large catches need high fish values and a strong multiplier together.
Even Bigger Catch RTP: 95% or 93%?
The game's RTP is 95%, but a 93% version also exists. Blueprint, like many studios, lets casinos choose between RTP variants. Two percentage points sounds small, but it changes the long-run cost of play by 40%.

Blueprint doesn't give a volatility rating for this game in our sources, so we don't state one. With a 10,000x cap and multiplied collections, expect results to be uneven: long quiet spells broken by occasional larger rounds. Short sessions can land far from either RTP figure.

Fishing slot myths that don't hold up
"Picking a different fish would have paid more." The pick is presentation; your choice doesn't change the expected return.
"Lots of fish in the base game means free spins are coming." Each spin is independent; see do slot machines have patterns.
Blueprint is based in the UK, and the British version of the game follows Gambling Commission rules. Since 31 October 2021, the Gambling Commission's remote technical standards (opens in a new tab) have banned autoplay, turbo and slam-stop, required a 2.5-second minimum spin and stopped games celebrating returns no bigger than the stake. Stakes are capped at £5 for players 25 and over and £2 for those aged 18 to 24, as explained in the Commission's stake limit guidance (opens in a new tab).
There is no bonus buy in the version supplied to Great Britain; see bonus buy in the UK. Any winnings are free of tax for UK players.

Frequently asked questions
What is the Even Bigger Catch RTP?
The Even Bigger Catch RTP is 95%, and a 93% version also exists. At 95%, the long-run cost is £5 for every £100 staked; at 93% it rises to £7, which is 40% more. Casinos choose which version to run, so the only way to know is to open the game's help screen and look for the RTP line. Both figures are averages over millions of spins, not predictions for a session. Our explainer on RTP variants explains why studios supply more than one.
What is the Even Bigger Catch max win?
The Even Bigger Catch max win is 10,000 times your stake. At 10p a spin that is £1,000, at £1 it is £10,000, at the £2 maximum for players aged 18 to 24 it is £20,000, and at the £5 maximum for players aged 25 and over it is £50,000. That is double the 5,000x listed for the original Fishin' Frenzy. Reaching it is very rare and needs high fish values, many collections and a strong multiplier. See our max win glossary entry.
How do you get free spins on Even Bigger Catch?
You get free spins on Even Bigger Catch by landing three or more bonus symbols in view during the base game. In the round, fish symbols show cash values and the fisherman wild pays the value of every fish on the same spin. Collecting four fishermen upgrades the smallest fish and adds five spins. The number of spins for each count of bonus symbols is shown in the paytable. Our page on how free spins work on slot machines explains the basics.
What does the golden fisherman do?
The golden fisherman starts the Even Bigger Catch pick feature when he lands with any fish during free spins. You choose a fish, which reveals a collect multiplier of up to 10x, and that multiplier is applied to the fish values collected. A 10x multiplier on £5 of fish would make £50, for example. Your choice of fish is part of the presentation and doesn't change the game's long-run return. The pick me bonus page explains how pick features work.
Who makes the Even Bigger Catch slot?
Blueprint Gaming makes Fishin' Frenzy Even Bigger Catch. Blueprint was founded in 2001, is based in Newark in the UK, and is owned by the Merkur Group, which took a stake in 2008 and full ownership in 2012. It is best known for the Fishin' Frenzy series, Eye of Horus and King Kong Cash, and for its Jackpot King progressive network. Blueprint's listing dates this game to February 2023. See our Blueprint Gaming provider page for more of its slots.
Is Even Bigger Catch the same as Fishin' Frenzy The Big Catch?
No, Even Bigger Catch and The Big Catch are separate games in the same series. The Big Catch introduced the idea of upgrading fish once enough fishermen are collected. Even Bigger Catch keeps a version of that upgrade and adds the golden fisherman, whose pick feature reveals a collect multiplier of up to 10x. The listed figures also differ: The Big Catch shows a 95.32% RTP, while Even Bigger Catch shows 95%, with a 93% version too. Read our Fishin' Frenzy The Big Catch page.
Can I play an Even Bigger Catch demo?
Yes, UK-licensed casinos usually offer an Even Bigger Catch demo, but only after age verification. Since May 2019, the Gambling Commission has required operators to confirm that players are 18 or over before they can use free-to-play games. The demo runs the same rules and maths, so it's a sensible way to see the golden fisherman and the upgrades in action. It cannot predict real-money results, because every spin is random. See are free slot games the same as real ones.
What is the volatility of Even Bigger Catch?
Blueprint doesn't publish a volatility rating for Even Bigger Catch in the sources we use, so we don't state one. The structure gives some clues: most of the value sits in free spins, where fish, fishermen and multipliers have to coincide, and the cap is 10,000x. Games built like that tend to produce uneven results, with quiet stretches and occasional bigger rounds. Plan your budget on that basis. Our volatility explainer shows how to judge a game without a rating.
How much can I stake on Even Bigger Catch in the UK?
At a UK-licensed casino you can stake up to £5 per spin on Even Bigger Catch if you are aged 25 or over, and up to £2 per spin if you are 18 to 24. These caps cover all online slots and took effect on 9 April 2025 and 21 May 2025. Your casino applies the right limit based on your verified age, and may set a lower maximum of its own. Read our page on the stake limit for 18 to 24-year-olds.
Is Even Bigger Catch fair?
Yes, at a UK-licensed casino Even Bigger Catch must run on a tested random number generator and pay according to its rules and the RTP of the version in use. Each spin is independent, and the golden fisherman pick is part of a result already decided by the game's maths. Fair doesn't mean favourable: both RTP versions include a house edge, so most players lose over time. The are slot machines rigged page explains how testing works.
