Danger! High Voltage 2 slot: from 4,096 ways to Megaways
The first Danger High Voltage was a cult hit for Big Time Gaming: a loud, disco-and-rock-themed slot on a fixed 6×4 grid with 4,096 ways. On our checked data it returns 96.22% with medium-high volatility and a 15,746× cap. The 2024 sequel keeps the look and attitude but swaps the fixed grid for the studio's own invention, the Megaways reel.
That single change reshapes the maths. Ways go from a constant 4,096 to anything up to 117,649, reel heights change every spin, and the cap rises to 52,980×. A coin pusher device, the Megadozer, sits above the reels and adds a second layer of random modifiers.
The studio created Megaways and has licensed it widely since 2018; our history of Megaways covers the story. The studio has been owned by Evolution since a deal announced in April 2021.
How the Danger! High Voltage 2 slot machine works
Pick a total stake; Megaways games cover all ways on every spin, so there are no line choices.
Spin. The RNG sets the reel heights, the symbols and any Megadozer activity in one go.
Each of the six reels shows a random number of symbols. Their product is the ways count for that spin.
Matching symbols on adjacent reels from the left pay. Wilds substitute for paying symbols.
Winning symbols are removed and replaced, so wins can chain within one paid spin.
Bonus coins from the Megadozer may add multipliers, scatters or wild modifiers.
Enough scatters lead to the free spins choice. Each spin runs at least 2.5 seconds in the UK.
The studio calls its replacement mechanic 'Reactions'; elsewhere you will see it called cascading reels or tumbles. Chains are already counted inside the RTP.

The jump in cap tells you the sequel's results are spread more unevenly: more of its return is packed into rare, very large outcomes. Variable ways also make the base game more erratic, because a spin on short reels has far fewer routes to a win than one on tall reels. Our Megaways vs 243 ways comparison explains the difference in feel.
The Megadozer: a coin pusher above the reels
The Megadozer is a visual coin pusher mounted over the grid. When it pushes coins off its ledge, they fall onto the reels as bonus coins, each carrying a modifier. Published descriptions list win multiplier boosts, extra scatter symbols and wild multipliers among the possible outcomes; the help screen gives the exact list and values.
It looks physical, but nothing about it is. Which coins drop and what they carry is decided by the RNG along with the rest of the spin. Coins piling near the edge don't mean a drop is imminent. That's the same mistake people make with real coin pushers in arcades.
Real coin pushers in Britain are Category D machines with a 20p maximum stake and a £20 maximum prize, no more than £10 of it in cash. They're nothing like an 18+ online slot, and the Megadozer is just a piece of game design.
Danger! High Voltage 2 free spins: Fire in the Disco or Danger Danger
When enough scatters land, you choose between two free spins rounds, each with a different balance of spins and power. Published descriptions characterise them like this:
The two free spins choices
Round
Structure
Key modifiers
Shape of results
Fire in the Disco
Fewer starting spins
Bonus coins can add persistent wilds or extra spins
Shorter, more concentrated
Danger Danger
More starting spins
Bonus coins bring wild multipliers that can build during the round
Longer, with growing multipliers
Choice rounds like this usually carry similar long-run value; what changes is how the value is distributed. A round with fewer spins and sticky-style persistent wilds tends to be streakier; a longer round with growing multipliers can start slowly and finish strongly. Neither is the 'right' choice, and switching between them after a poor result doesn't help. The help screen lists spins awarded, retrigger rules and multiplier values for each.
Danger! High Voltage 2 max win at UK stake limits
The cap is 52,980 times the stake. Wins stop at that amount; it is a ceiling reached only in exceptional features.
Danger! High Voltage 2 RTP and what a session costs
Our checked data doesn't hold a verified RTP for the sequel, so we don't state one. Games from this studio can be supplied at more than one RTP, and the help screen at your casino shows which you have. Use this simple formula: average cost = amount staked × (100 − RTP) ÷ 100.
As a worked example using the original game's 96.22%: 100 spins at £1 is £100 staked, and £100 × 3.78 ÷ 100 = £3.78 average cost. If the sequel's version at your casino is lower, the cost rises; at 94% the same session would average £6.
Is Danger! High Voltage 2 worth playing?
It suits adults who enjoyed the original's energy and want a bigger, more volatile game, and who can accept long stretches without a feature. Anyone who liked the original's steadier fixed-ways base game may find the Megaways version more erratic.
Advantages
Max win more than three times the original's
Two distinct free spins rounds to choose from
Megadozer adds random base-game modifiers
Drawbacks
RTP and volatility need checking in the help screen

Danger! High Voltage 2 myths
'The Megadozer is about to tip.' Coin positions are decoration; drops are random each spin.
'Choosing the same free spins round every time pays off eventually.' Each round is independent.
'Tall reels mean a better spin.' The ways count changes how wins form, not the overall return.
'Playing late at night pays more.' There is no best time to play; the RNG doesn't track the clock.
How to find the Danger! High Voltage 2 RTP in the help screen
Sign in at a UK-licensed casino; demos are only available after age verification.
Open the game and tap the information or settings icon.
Scroll through the rules to the theoretical RTP statement.
Note the free spins rules for both rounds, including retriggers.
Plug the RTP into the cost formula above before choosing a stake.
Overseas players may see autoplay, quick spin and a feature purchase. None of those appear at UK-licensed casinos. Since 31 October 2021 British slots have had no autoplay, a minimum 2.5 seconds per spin, no turbo or slam-stop, and no celebration of returns at or below the stake; the Gambling Commission's online games design rules (opens in a new tab) set these out. See bonus buys in the UK for why the purchase option is missing.

Frequently asked questions
What is the Danger! High Voltage 2 RTP?
Our checked data doesn't include a verified RTP for Danger! High Voltage 2, so read the figure in the game's help screen at your casino. Big Time Gaming games can be supplied at more than one RTP, and the casino picks which. For context, the original Danger High Voltage is listed at 96.22%. Once you have the figure, the average cost per £100 staked is 100 minus the RTP, in pounds. Our page on what a good RTP is helps you judge it.
What is the Danger! High Voltage 2 max win?
The maximum win is 52,980 times the stake. That is £52,980 at £1 a spin, £105,960 at the £2 limit for 18 to 24 year olds and £264,900 at the £5 limit for players aged 25 and over. It is more than three times the original's 15,746× cap. Reaching it needs an exceptional feature and is very rare. Our explainer on max win caps shows why caps exist.
Which free spins should I choose on Danger! High Voltage 2?
Neither round is better in the long run; they distribute value differently. Fire in the Disco gives fewer spins with persistent wilds, so results tend to be concentrated. Danger Danger gives more spins with wild multipliers that can build, so it can start slowly and finish strongly. Choose by the kind of swing you prefer, not by recent results. Our page on what triggers a bonus round covers how the trigger works.
What is the Megadozer in Danger! High Voltage 2?
The Megadozer is a coin pusher graphic above the reels that drops bonus coins onto the grid. Each coin carries a modifier, and published descriptions list win multiplier boosts, extra scatters and wild multipliers among them. Despite the physical look, every drop is decided by the RNG as part of the spin, and coins near the edge don't predict anything. Our random features page covers similar base-game modifiers.
How many ways does Danger! High Voltage 2 have?
It has up to 117,649 ways on six Megaways reels. Each reel shows a random number of symbols on every spin, and the ways count is those numbers multiplied together, so it changes constantly. The original game had a fixed 4,096 ways from six reels of four. More ways doesn't mean a better spin; the overall return is the same whatever the reel heights. Our Megaways explainer has worked examples.
Can I play Danger! High Voltage 2 in demo mode?
Yes, many UK casinos offer a free demo of Big Time Gaming slots, available only after you have verified your age, which has been required in Great Britain since May 2019. The demo uses the same maths as the real version, so it shows how both free spins rounds behave before you stake money. Demo winnings aren't real. Our demo vs real money slots comparison explains the differences.
Is Danger! High Voltage 2 better than the original?
It's bigger and more volatile rather than simply better. The sequel uses Megaways reels with up to 117,649 ways and a 52,980× cap, while the original runs on a fixed 6×4 grid with 4,096 ways, a 96.22% RTP and a 15,746× cap on our checked data. If you liked the original's steadier rhythm, you may prefer it. Check the sequel's RTP at your casino. Our Danger High Voltage page covers the original.
Can I buy the bonus on Danger! High Voltage 2 in the UK?
No. UK-licensed casinos don't offer feature buy options on slots, so the free spins can only be triggered through normal play. Some overseas versions show a buy button, but it isn't part of the version supplied to Great Britain. The UK game also has no autoplay and a minimum 2.5-second spin. Our page on bonus buys in the UK explains how games are supplied here.
How much does Danger! High Voltage 2 cost to play?
At £1 a spin, 100 spins is £100 staked. The average cost depends on the RTP your casino runs: at 96.22%, the original's figure, it would be £3.78; at 94% it would be £6. Read the sequel's RTP in the help screen to work out your real figure. Actual sessions swing far from the average. Use our slot budget planner to set a limit before you start.
Who makes Danger! High Voltage 2?

BTG has been part of Evolution since a deal announced in April 2021 and is known for Bonanza, Extra Chilli and White Rabbit as well as the Danger High Voltage series.
