The Gold Blitz Extreme slot is a 2023 follow-up to Gold Blitz from Fortune Factory Studios (Games Global), with 4,096 ways on six reels, a 96% RTP, high volatility and a 5,500× max win. Scatters let you choose between free spins with wild multipliers and Gold Blitz spins built around cash collection.
4,096 ways on a 6 × 4 grid: matching symbols on adjacent reels from the left pay, in any row.
Cash symbols pay when a collect symbol lands with them, in the base game and in Gold Blitz spins.
The bonus offers a choice: more free spins with wild multipliers, or fewer Gold Blitz spins focused on cash.
At 96% RTP the average cost is £4 per £100 staked; the 5,500× cap is £27,500 at a £5 spin.
Feature buys sold elsewhere aren’t part of the version supplied to Great Britain.

What the Gold Blitz Extreme slot adds to the original
Fortune Factory Studios released Gold Blitz in December 2022 and followed it a year later with Gold Blitz Extreme. The grid, the 4,096 ways and the 96% RTP are unchanged. What changes is the shape of the return: the max win rises from 5,000× to 5,500× stake, a bonus multiplier builds between features, and the cash symbols in the Gold Blitz round can carry larger values. In plain terms, the Extreme version pushes a little more of the return into rare results.
The theme is a gold-rush saloon: gold bars, coins, bells, horseshoes and a dollar sign as the higher symbols, with card ranks below them. Like its predecessor, it is a video slot machine built on a ways to win structure rather than fixed lines.
How the Gold Blitz Extreme slot machine pays on 4,096 ways
Each of the six reels shows four symbols, so the number of possible left-to-right paths is 4 × 4 × 4 × 4 × 4 × 4 = 4,096. You don’t choose ways; every spin covers all of them. A win needs at least three matching symbols on adjacent reels starting from reel 1 (the top symbol pays from two), in any row. The wild appears on reels 2 to 6 and stands in for paying symbols.
A worked example
Suppose the dollar sign lands twice on reel 1, once on reel 2 and once on reel 3, and nowhere on reel 4. The win counts as three of a kind, and the number of ways it pays is 2 × 1 × 1 = 2. If reel 2 had shown a wild as well as a dollar sign, that would become 2 × 2 × 1 = 4 ways. This multiplication is why a single extra symbol on an early reel can double a ways win.

Cash symbols, collect scatters and the four jackpot prizes
Gold Blitz Extreme runs a cash collect system in the base game. Cash symbols show a value as a multiple of your stake. They pay only when a collect symbol lands on the same spin; collect symbols appear on the outer reels. Published descriptions, such as the casinos.com Gold Blitz Extreme listing (opens in a new tab) and SlotCatalog’s game page (opens in a new tab), add that when two collect symbols land with no cash in view, the middle reels respin to bring in at least one cash prize.
There are also four fixed jackpot prizes, named Mini, Minor, Major and Mega in the familiar Mini, Major and Grand style. Spins that show cash without a collect add jackpot tokens, which can lead to one of the four being awarded. The prize ranges are set out in the help screen. These are fixed prizes paid by the game, not a progressive pot shared across casinos; our page on fixed jackpot slots explains the difference.
A screen full of cash symbols with no collect is the game’s version of a near miss. It doesn’t make the next spin any more likely to bring a collect.
The building bonus multiplier
A feature specific to the Extreme version is a multiplier that grows between bonuses. According to published descriptions, it starts at 1× and rises in small steps each time two bonus scatters land without starting the bonus, up to a ceiling. When the bonus does start, whichever round you pick uses that multiplier, and it resets afterwards.
This creates a visible number that climbs while you play, which can feel like progress. It isn’t a reason to carry on: the value of the multiplier is already counted in the 96% RTP, and each spin has the same chance of starting the bonus whatever the multiplier shows. Our guide to progressive multipliers looks at other games that carry a value between spins.
Gold Blitz Extreme free spins or Gold Blitz spins?
Three or more scatters start the bonus and pay a small scatter prize. You then choose a round. More scatters mean more spins in either option, and the help screen lists the counts for three, four, five and six scatters.

Likely pattern
Steadier, smaller wins with the odd strong spin
Fewer spins, each built around a collection
There is no published evidence that either option pays more on average. Choice bonuses are normally balanced so that the options return similar amounts, and the choice mainly changes the spread of results; if the help screen lists a separate return for each, that settles it. Pick the one you find more enjoyable. The free spins and wild multipliers pages explain the mechanics behind the first option.
How to play Gold Blitz Extreme, step by step
Set your total stake in the bet menu; it covers all 4,096 ways.
Press spin; in the UK each spin needs its own press and lasts at least 2.5 seconds.
Ways wins from reel 1 are paid first, then any cash collected by a collect symbol.
Watch the bonus multiplier: two scatters without a trigger move it up a step.
Three or more scatters start the bonus; pick free spins or Gold Blitz spins.
Bonus wins are added to your balance, and the multiplier resets for the next bonus.
Gold Blitz Extreme RTP and the cost of an hour’s play
The Gold Blitz Extreme RTP is 96%, so over millions of spins the game returns about £96 of every £100 staked. Per spin that sounds cheap, but cost depends on how many spins you play. UK rules set a minimum of 2.5 seconds per spin, so the theoretical ceiling is 1,440 spins an hour; most people play far fewer. The table assumes 600 spins, roughly one every six seconds, to show the scale.

Gold Blitz Extreme max win at UK stakes
The Gold Blitz Extreme max win is 5,500× stake. When a round reaches it, the round ends and the capped amount is paid. In cash terms:

The cap is a ceiling, not a target. It needs a bonus with a high multiplier and large cash values together, and almost every session ends nowhere near it. See max win caps for how caps are built into a game’s maths.

Free spins or Gold Blitz spins, with a building bonus multiplier
With the same RTP, neither is cheaper to play over time. Extreme suits players who want slightly more weight on the top end; the original has fewer moving parts. For other ways games with cash or multiplier features, see Buffalo Blitz and the high volatility slot machines page.
Myths about the Gold Blitz Extreme slot
A high bonus multiplier means the bonus is close. The multiplier shows what the bonus would pay with, not when it will start.
Lots of uncollected cash means a collect is coming. Each spin is independent; the RNG has no memory.
Gold Blitz spins always pay more than free spins. Nothing published supports that; the two options differ mainly in how lumpy the results are.
Stopping a spin early changes the result. UK slots have no quick-stop, and the result is fixed when you press spin anyway.
The demo shows the full game, including the bonus choice, using play credits. In Great Britain it opens only once the casino has checked your age, as explained in the Gambling Commission’s guide to age and ID verification (opens in a new tab). A demo is useful for learning the collect rules; its results don’t predict real play.
Real-money play follows the responsible product design standard (opens in a new tab) in force since 31 October 2021: no autoplay or turbo, a 2.5-second minimum spin, no celebration of returns at or below the stake, and your net position on screen. Stake limits are £5 per spin for players aged 25 and over and £2 for those aged 18 to 24. The bonus buy options listed in some markets are absent from versions supplied to Great Britain; see bonus buy in the UK.

Frequently asked questions
What is the Gold Blitz Extreme RTP?
The Gold Blitz Extreme RTP is 96%. Over a very large number of spins the game returns about £96 for every £100 staked, so the average cost is £4 per £100. Because the game is high volatility, a single session can be far better or far worse than that. Always confirm the figure in the help screen at the casino you use, since that is the version you are playing. Our RTP guide explains how the long-run figure relates to short sessions.
What is the Gold Blitz Extreme max win?
The Gold Blitz Extreme max win is 5,500 times your stake. At 20p that is £1,100, at £2 it is £11,000 and at the £5 maximum for players aged 25 and over it is £27,500. When a round reaches the cap it ends and pays the capped amount. It is an extremely rare result that needs a strong bonus. For how this compares with other games, see our page on what slot has the biggest max win.
Should I choose free spins or Gold Blitz spins?
Choose whichever you enjoy more: there is no published evidence that either returns more on average, and choice bonuses are normally balanced. Free spins give you more spins with card symbols and multiplier wilds, so results tend to be steadier. Gold Blitz spins are fewer but every spin revolves around collecting cash values, which makes the outcome swingier. Both use the bonus multiplier you have built up. Our cash collect feature page explains how collection rounds pay out.
How does the Gold Blitz Extreme bonus multiplier work?
The bonus multiplier starts at 1× and moves up a step each time two bonus scatters land without starting the bonus, up to a ceiling set in the rules. When the bonus starts, the round you choose uses the current multiplier, and it then resets. A high multiplier does not make the bonus more likely on the next spin; it only changes what the bonus pays with. Our page on progressive multipliers covers similar mechanics.
How many ways to win does Gold Blitz Extreme have?
Gold Blitz Extreme has 4,096 ways to win. Six reels with four rows each give 4 to the power of 6 possible left-to-right paths, and every spin covers them all, so there are no lines to select. Matching symbols must start on reel 1 and continue on adjacent reels; when a reel shows more than one match, the ways multiply. Our ways to win slot machines guide explains the arithmetic with more examples.
Is there a Gold Blitz Extreme demo?
Yes. Many casinos list a Gold Blitz Extreme demo, open at no cost once your age has been verified. In Great Britain casinos can only open free-to-play gambling games once they have confirmed you are 18 or over, a rule in place since May 2019. The demo uses play credits and includes the bonus choice and cash collect. Remember that demo results are random and tell you nothing about the next real spin. Our demo slots guide covers what demos are useful for.
Who makes Gold Blitz Extreme?
It is made by Fortune Factory Studios and distributed by Games Global, the Isle of Man company that took over Microgaming’s games portfolio in 2022. Games Global supplies its own studios’ games and partner titles to many UK casinos. Fortune Factory also made the original Gold Blitz, released in December 2022. Our Games Global provider page lists more of the group’s best-known slots with their published figures.
Does Gold Blitz Extreme have a progressive jackpot?
No. The game has four fixed jackpot prizes, Mini, Minor, Major and Mega, paid by the game itself rather than a pot that grows across casinos. Spins showing cash symbols without a collect can add jackpot tokens, which can lead to one of the prizes being awarded. The help screen lists each prize as a multiple of your stake. Our fixed vs progressive jackpots comparison explains how the two kinds differ.
Can I buy the bonus on Gold Blitz Extreme in the UK?
No. The game is sold with a bonus buy in some markets, but versions supplied to players in Great Britain don’t include it. You can only reach free spins or Gold Blitz spins by landing three or more scatters in normal play. That keeps every paid spin within the per-spin stake limits of £5 for players aged 25 and over and £2 for 18 to 24-year-olds. Background: bonus buy in the UK.
How long will £50 last on Gold Blitz Extreme?
There is no fixed answer, because high volatility means £50 can run out quickly or last a long time. On average, at 96% RTP and a 50p stake, you would expect to lose about £2 for every 100 spins, but real results swing widely around that. A sudden losing run can empty a small balance in well under 100 spins. Set a deposit limit first. Our page on how long £100 lasts on slots shows the maths.
