What changed from the original Fruit Party
The first Fruit Party arrived in 2020 with random multipliers on winning symbols. The sequel keeps the 7 × 7 grid and cluster pays, but moves the multipliers onto wilds that stay in play across tumbles. Both games are rated high volatility and share the 5,000× ceiling.

The RTP difference is tiny: at £1 a spin, 100 spins cost £3.53 on average on the original and £3.47 on the sequel. What matters more is how the multipliers behave, explained below.
How the Fruit Party 2 slot machine works
There are no reels or lines in the usual sense. The grid fills with fruit, and any group of matching symbols touching horizontally or vertically forms a cluster. The paytable lists how many matching symbols are needed for each payout; read it at your stake.
Pick a stake. It is the only cost of the round, however many tumbles follow.
Spin. The RNG fills the 7 × 7 grid.
Each qualifying cluster pays and is removed.
A winning cluster can randomly leave a 2× wild in its place.
Symbols above fall down and new ones drop in; this is a tumble.
If a wild is part of a new winning cluster, its multiplier can double, and the process repeats until no wins remain.
The tumble is the same idea as cascading reels on other games. In Fruit Party 2 it matters more than usual, because a wild that survives one tumble can grow on the next.
Wild multipliers in Fruit Party 2, explained with numbers
Pragmatic Play’s description is precise: a winning cluster can randomly leave behind a wild with a 2× multiplier, and on later tumbles that wild can reappear and double its multiplier, up to 256×. When more than one wild is in the same cluster, their multipliers are added together, not multiplied. That is a form of wild multiplier combined with a progressive multiplier.

Worked example (illustrative values)
Say a cluster would pay £0.30 at your stake and it contains two wilds, one at 4× and one at 8×. The multipliers are added, giving 12×, so the cluster pays £3.60. If the same cluster had only the 8× wild, it would pay £2.40. The £0.30 base value is made up for the example; real values are in the paytable.
Wilds appear at random. A large multiplier sitting on the grid does not make the next tumble more likely to produce a win.
Free spins and retriggers in Fruit Party 2
Three to seven scatters anywhere on the grid start the free spins round with 10 to 25 spins; more scatters give more spins. During the round, random wild multipliers start at 3× rather than 2× and can rise as high as 729×. Landing three or more scatters during the round adds five more spins, a free spins retrigger.

RTP and volatility: what Fruit Party 2 costs in pounds
At 96.53% RTP, the long-run house edge is 3.47%. High volatility means the return leans heavily on rare rounds where large multipliers meet big clusters. Many sessions will see nothing like that.

Fruit Party 2 max win at UK stakes
The cap is 5,000 times your stake per round. In the free spins, a 729× wild in a decent cluster can approach it, which is why the game has a hard ceiling; when it is reached, the round stops and the cap is paid.

Is Fruit Party 2 a fruit machine?
Only in looks. The fruit come from a tradition that started on mechanical machines, but Fruit Party 2 is an online video slot with no reels, holds or nudges. A UK pub fruit machine is a land-based Category C machine with a £1 stake and £100 top prize. Our page on fruit slots online explains how the theme moved from pubs to screens.
Myths about the Fruit Party 2 slot and the maths behind them
‘A 256× wild means a big win is coming.’ The wild only pays if it joins a winning cluster on a later tumble, and that is random.
‘More scatters in the base game mean free spins are due.’ Scatter landings are independent from spin to spin.
‘Higher stakes bring better multipliers.’ The multiplier rules are the same at every stake; only the pound value changes.
‘The game is hot after a big free spins round.’ There is no hot or cold state; see slot machine myths.
Playing the Fruit Party 2 demo, checking the RTP and UK rules
Free demo play of Fruit Party 2 is available at many UK casinos after age verification, using play credits and identical maths. It is the clearest way to see how wilds survive tumbles. To confirm the RTP, open the game info screen; our guide on how to find a slot’s RTP explains where it is usually printed.
Since 31 October 2021 UK slots have had no autoplay, a minimum of 2.5 seconds per game cycle and no turbo, as listed in the Gambling Commission’s summary of online game design changes (opens in a new tab). A full tumble chain counts as one game cycle.

Frequently asked questions
What is the Fruit Party 2 RTP?
The game has an RTP of 96.53%, so the long-run house edge is 3.47%. Over a very large number of spins, 100 spins at £1 cost £3.47 on average, but a single session can end far above or below that. Pragmatic Play supplies some games at more than one setting, so check the rules screen in your casino’s version. Our RTP variants page explains how casinos choose a version.
What is the Fruit Party 2 max win?
The maximum win is 5,000 times your stake in a single round. That is £1,000 at 20p, £5,000 at £1, £10,000 at the £2 limit for 18–24-year-olds and £25,000 at £5, where the casino’s version allows that stake. When the cap is reached, the round ends and the capped amount is paid. Our max win glossary entry explains how caps work.
How do the wild multipliers work in Fruit Party 2?
A winning cluster can randomly leave a wild with a 2× multiplier. On later tumbles in the same round, that wild can reappear and double its multiplier, up to 256× in the base game. If several wilds are part of one winning cluster, their multipliers are added together, so a 4× and an 8× give 12×. In free spins they start at 3× and can reach 729×. Our wild multipliers feature page explains the general mechanic.
How do you trigger Fruit Party 2 free spins?
Land three to seven scatter symbols anywhere on the grid to trigger 10 to 25 free spins, with more scatters giving more spins. In the round, wild multipliers start at 3× and can climb to 729×. Three or more scatters during the round add five extra spins. The trigger is random on every spin and there is no bonus buy in the UK. Our explainer on what triggers a bonus round covers how triggers are designed.
Is Fruit Party 2 better than Fruit Party?
Neither is better in a strict sense; they have almost identical maths. The sequel lists a 96.53% RTP against 96.47% for the original, both are high volatility, and both cap wins at 5,000×. The difference is the feature: the sequel’s multipliers sit on wilds that can grow across tumbles, while the original attaches random multipliers to winning symbols. Our Fruit Party slot page breaks down the original.
Is Fruit Party 2 high volatility?
Yes, Fruit Party 2 is rated high volatility. Most rounds pay little, and a large part of the return comes from rare rounds where big wild multipliers join large clusters, especially in the free spins. That makes results swing widely over short sessions, so a small budget can run out before the bonus appears. Our guide to slot volatility and budgets shows how to plan for this.
Can I play the Fruit Party 2 demo?
Yes, you can play Fruit Party 2 in demo mode at many UK casinos, but only after the casino has verified you are at least 18. Age checks before free play have been required in Great Britain since May 2019. The demo uses the same rules and RTP with play credits, so it is good for seeing how the multiplier wilds behave. It cannot predict real-money results. Our demo slots guide has more.
How many symbols make a cluster in Fruit Party 2?
Pragmatic Play’s description doesn’t state the minimum, so check the paytable in the game, which shows the payout for each cluster size at your stake. Symbols must touch horizontally or vertically to count; diagonal contact doesn’t join a cluster. The original Fruit Party pays for clusters of five or more in our records. Our cluster pays slot machines guide explains how clusters are counted on different games.
Does a bigger stake improve the multipliers?
No, the multiplier rules in Fruit Party 2 are the same at every stake. A wild starts at 2× and can reach 256× in the base game, or 3× to 729× in free spins, whether you bet 20p or £5. A bigger stake only scales the pound value of every win and loss. The RTP is also the same across stakes. Our page on whether you should bet max explains why stake size doesn’t change the odds on most online slots.
What is the maximum bet on Fruit Party 2 in the UK?
British law has capped online slot stakes since spring 2025: £5 a spin from age 25, and £2 a spin for anyone aged 18 to 24. Your casino’s version may top out lower. At £2 a spin, 100 spins stakes £200 and costs £6.94 on average at 96.53% RTP. Our online slot stake limits page explains how operators apply the rules.
